Would it be better for me to get a Lincoln 100 and just weld with flux? Then possibly get the gas conversion later on? Or would it be better to go with a gas welder right off the bat? If so, does anyone have any good gas welder recommends?

You can start out with the flux core. And go gas later. Either way a lincoln wow jist realised I have been spelling it wrong this whole time. Lol.

I'd keep it on, i hit mine on the trails all the time it really saves my bumper! Mines rusty as well, I just sanded it down and painted it black. Looks brand new.

Having it when you need it is better than having Clearance when you don't need it IMO you can still go every place with the hitch on you just might hit it. Still up to you, I tried taking mine off one time for some reason I don't even know why lol but it was so rusted I couldn't even get the first bolt off. So I said screw it and left it on lol.
