The one i have for my side pipe is such a tight fit, i just hammered it on and it's impossible to get back off without using the hammer again.

lol, you didn't look hard enough for the right size. I hate the loose ones you use the screws on (which is what this tip is), i just took those useless things out.

Default transmission ? 98 xj 4.0 auto

When I stop and start its really sluggish almost like its starting in 3rd gear but eventually catches up but the rpm's seem a bit higher than before this started if I shift manually its fine other than the rpm is higher than normal. It doesn't seem to be slipping just slow off the start. Any input,tips,fixes, or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

I had this problem when I bought mine,I bout it from a guy who said it needed a bit of rnr.turns or mine was only running in third gear. my first gear was shot, had to replace the tranny.Idk about you're Jeep but If you don't find a fix for it take it to a transmission shop and have them check it our or get someone to run a diagnostic check on it.hope this helps.
