Actually not a bad Idea on the white and gloss black on top of bed liner ain't happening lol rims cost to much to straight up paint although I have been considering duplicolors "shadow chrome" kit for them

Yes if I recall, if ur up top lookin down at it from the front of the engine, you would need to turn it to the right, or towards the driver side to loosen it. Its made to be done from underneath i think. Cuz if your below it looking from the back forwards, turning to the left would be towards the driver side. So yes turn towards the driver side lol.

Default wipers blower turn signals quit working

yesterday morning i let my 1990 xj laredo warm up while i was getting ready for work and it over heated and sprayed antifreeze out of the plastic expansion tank when i realized the problem and shut the engine off and let her cool down a bit and replenished the coolant and drove to work.

i later on realized that my wipers, turn signals, and blower no longer work.
its possible that whatever caused that stuff to quit working happened before it overheated, and i just noticed it after.

i checked the blower fuse and the accessory fuse and those look fine, everything else seems normal my voltage seems fine and the xj seems to run just fine.

any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Thia probably sounds far fetched but did the coolant spill on anything and short it out? Sounds like a short or bad ground or something.. I had a problem with my lights where one headlught worked abd the other was dim and my signal got stuck on when the lights where on and it ended up being a short... good luck

Just after I bought my xj I had to change the oil. Apparently the PO didn't like to and the OF was stuck. I used the screwdriver through the OF housing trick and all it did was trash the OF housing and made a freakn mess. The paper-filter material and the OF housing was shredded and everywhere, of course now it was sharp as hell. I eventually ripped the thin metal housing and paper filter material out then took a big flat screwdriver placed on the rim of the filter housing; offset towards the drivers side from top-dead-center and tapped it with a BFH. You will start to put in a indentation on the rim, which will allow you to tap a little harder and it will start to spin off at some point. I'm 6'1" so I did this from the top.
Side note, I just performed the OFA removal. (camping trip this weekend and not enough time to replace o-rings) Amazingly simple to do. I read about not being able to get the T-60 bolt out and was a little nervous doing this so close to leaving, but with the filter still on I pushed down on it and got the whole housing to spin a little....This gave me the leverage to get the torx bolt to break loose without having to link up multiple wrenches or try to fit a cheater in there. The T-60 was now just a bit over hand tight. A few cranks with the wrench and I was home free. Pushing down on the filter did bend the internal roll-pin slightly, but I locked onto it with some vice-grips and tapy-tap with the BFH again and it was out. Just make sure your motor mounts are in good shape before you attempt this...if not you will have to get a smaller OF. Off to the Gorge...later fellas.

hey quick question, for those of you with a 3" lift and 30 or 31 tires, what has your mileage gone too?

Thats kinda a open ended question. Depends on way to many things. Mileage, stock injectors, tires, weight, bumpers, sliders, driving habits, driving environment, etc... I got about 16 when i was on 3.5 and 31's. Im at about 12 now due to heavy *** 33" tires.
