Bilstein 5100s are in my future before the trip. I've been driving on four blown out shocks since I bought it. I can compress them with one finger.

You definitely spelt "nastiest" wrong. Do it again, and you're shoes will burst into flames.

Oh, I misread that. Just the engine... I thought it said the whole Jeep.
I wouldn't pay more than 100-200 for a high mileage engine.

YammieGuy I owe you. Finally got that freaking broken sensor out of the head with the square easy out. Took longer to get the new sensor in since it was bigger than the old one. I had to do some hammering to the edge of the valve cover to make some room to fit it in. Buuut now i have full gauges!!! Swap is complete, next is Tranny cooler and ZJ steering.
Wait until you have to remove a broken exhaust stud on a Suzuki intruder 700.

1992 JEEP SPORT CHEROKEE - $700
FOUR OF THE FIVE RIMS WON'T HOLD AIR. SLOW LEAKS. WILL NEED TO REFINISH SURFACE. 4-WHEEL DRIVE HAS VACUUME LEAK, DOESNT SEEM TO WORK FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.
Is this stuff easily fixable? Is this a good deal for a project build?

Depends. How many miles how much rust. Maybe offer 500 and take it from there.
