...just last week, actually. On Tuesday. Scared hell out of a skinny college girl in a short skirt when I shot out the LH side. I had to profusely apologize: I thought she was going to call mall security or somethin'.

She sure gave me a funny look when she realized I really was more interested in the diff' cover then her bony knees though.

there is also a possibility that i'm losing a bit of coolant but i have yet to confirm that. i don't seem to have the milky oil that would indicate a blown head gasket or cracked block/head though.

96 sport with the HO motor, 227,000 miles, 5 speed.

any help to set me in the right direction would be awesome.

PS i have seafoamed the engine once and done injector cleaner through the tank twice now.
Maybe check fuel pressure at the rail? Could be a bad pump or a bad pressure regulator

Also check your plugs and wires, you just never know when it could be something sinple. Good luck

Default A couple of questions

Hey guys I have a stock 95 XJ 4x4. I am wanting to put a lift and some bigger tires on it. Any suggestions on a cheap way to put a 4.5" - a 5" lift on it? Can I buy a 3.5" suspension kit and add coil spacers to the front and longer shackles to the rear? If I did that would it affect the way it rides and handles? Also would I have to trim the fenders to put 33x12.50 tires on it?

Buy a 5 inch lift, it's more expensive because you have to have more parts. The shocks control arms track bar and brake lines go a 3 inch lift aren't right for a 4.5-5 inch lift.

I'd pu a 3.5 inch lift and 33s if I were you, that's what I run.

The rear will, yes. The front seats use a different rail: Starting in '95 or '96 XJs got that mounting bracket that your 2001 has, and the seat rail/frame was modified to have those tabs that bend down and screw on to the front. In earlier years the seat just bolts to a flat floor. You can swap the actual seats between the rails though.

Awesome thanks man! although i do need to snag another passenger seat as the 01 is from a 4 door and the 87 i have is a 2 door and the 4 door front seats dont fold down. but atleast i have the majority that i need!

Thanks man. Did you have to do a lot of trimming with the 33's?

You have trim but it's not excessive. I'm running an RC 3" lift and 33's.

Any 4.0 gurus in here?

I'm thinking about throwing a mild cam in my engine while I have the head off. Which cam do yall recommend? If I did a cam, I would also throw on a bored TB and a free flowing cat and muffler.

Replaced the plugs last night, here are the old ones... Thoughts on how bad they were?

Bad because they're Platinum Plus 4s. They suck.
