Fresh charged battery. Before turning over. Just in the on position. Turns over fine. Also there is no spark. When I do turn it over. It ran great then the next day it wouldn't start....

Okay guys I'm installing the ceiling console or my 94 XJ. And we'll the connector for the lights is gone so I bought a universal connector at radio shack. And now I just need to know which pins go to which wires. I'm gonna out a pic of the console so you can see what I'm dealing with..
There are five pins and only four wires..
Grey runs from the backseat light (connected to two red wires that are not on the front lights.
Black runs from the back seat lights to the front lights
Yellow runs from the back seat lights to the front here there are two yellows. 1. Is coming from the back and 2. Is connected to green wires going to the bulbs.

If I hook the yellow and black from the front lights to a 9v they come one.
Same if I hook the yellow and grey comin from the bak they also come on.
When I hook all I then together so yellow front, yellow rear, black front, grey rear. All the lights come on.
I just need to know which pins to hook the wires too.

Couple questions.. First one: I was messing with that kickdown cable and I believe ei got it set right. But so even said I should not feel it shifting? Well it's noticeable when it sifts. Is that fine? Second one: does expanding foam rust out metal?

You're going to notice it shifting, theres very few vehicles that you wont notice going through the gears.

It's true about the shifting. Some newer vehicles is more subtle. But also there's always different ways it shifts like if you slow down then mash the gas it may jump into gear fast or hang for a split sec. As for the foam, never used it in metal or a car. That's usually what silicone is for. I use foam for brick an such. What are you using the foam for

if you live in wet climates expanding foam will hold moisture and speed up rust.
