Why does my 88 XJ sometimes idle high at 2000 rpm when it rains and is very humid?
It has a new IAC, TPS and intake manifold gasket. I can't find any vacuum leaks....that are obvious.

I got a 94 thats in great condition structurally. I want to "update" the body style to the 96+ with the smoother lines and all. I figure it's pretty much a straight forward deal for the most part with the grill and fenders but i was looking for advice from someone who has possibly done this already done this cause i'm sure it's been done i just can't fine a thread in it. When all is said and done i plan to have my 94 looking like a 99 i already have a 99 and the interior of my 94 is beat so it needs replaced anyway so i figured this was a perfect opprtunity for a neat little project before i convert it to 4wd cause it's 2wd at the moment too.

What do you think of Ranchos?
If you really want to clean out your engine, use Auto-Rx. It works. http://www.auto-rx.com/

I still say go with Monroe or Doetsch Tech
I've ridden in quite a few different Jeeps at different lift heights, yada yada yada. Shocks make a HUGE difference. A Buddy of mine has an XJ on 6.5" with RE Monotubes and it rides way better than my XJ on 3" with RC Nitro 9000s.

To swap the front over you need to swap the header panel along with both front fenders. And you have to mess with turn signal wiring.
The interiors dont swap over without a lot of work from what I've read.
As long as its chained/strapped down properly? yeah it'll be fine. Hell on a flat bed you could tow it with no control arms and it wouldn't matter.

I want to use these to wire in heated seats however i do not want to put it in OE switch blanks. I plan on cutting a small square out of the front of my center console and place them in there. Put what do I do about the plugs? I assume there is an adapter or will have to find different switches.
This probably has a very simple I am overlooking lol, so I figure it doesn't deserve its own thread.

I've noticed a HUGE difference with the way the jeep performs. I gained about 2mpg after replacing all fluids with royal purple. The motor run a little cooler as well, maybe 5 degrees or so but every little bit helps. The one thing i noticed most was the way all the fluids looked when i change them now. much cleaner no sludge anywhere. Well worth the price in my opinion

They're white bodied shocks, so they're probably crappy. But I've heard some good things about them compared to most cheap shocks.
I still say go with Monroe or Doetsch Tech

Why not just use the 99 if you have it?

My 99 is already built this is another project. The interior of the 94 is all torn up anyway so i see it as being a fun project, just looking for any helpful advice, i know it's rather complicated. the wiring for the lights should be the same though cause it's got all the same stuff it just looks newer thats all, was going to grab the light wiring harness from the jeep i'm pulling the parts off anyway. Might start a build thread on it just for fun but not sure yet. I use my 99 and love it to death it's my pride and joy but the 94 i picked up is in way better shape as far as rust goes and so i want to make it look like a newer xj and see the reactions i get when i tell people it's a 94. This may be a dumb question, but what exactly do you mean by header panel?
Idk if I said so, but from what I've heard the interiors dont swap over. I know for a fact that the seat mounts are different along with the center console and dash.

Also, i doubt the 20amps that switch is rated for is enough for a heated seat circuit without a separate relay.
