So i want to hook up a cb in my jeep for use as a PA. I have an external speaker for a police siren that I want to use for it.

It just has the standard two wires coming off of it, while the cb has a single plug hole for the PA. Is there anyway to make this work?

You might be able to chassis ground it, the ground from the speaker has to be chassis ground. That should complete the circuit...

Hi,

So one morning my rear defrost on my 2001 Cherokee stopped working. I think it is the switch as I have replaced the relay and the fuses are fine. Is there a way to test the switch? I have a multimeter, I would think I could use it just don't know which setting to put it on.

The input for the PA on the cb is a plug in jack. Similar to a headphone jack. Speaker has the basic two wires.

Can I rig a jack to the wires to plug that in? Or is that absolutely silly. I don't want to buy new stuff when I have old that works.

No...not correct. That one is for the 2.5L engine.

you need BWD Model # OS2666.

Best bet for these is to just go to your local auto parts store - that way you can make sure you have the right part and can return it if it's not or if it's defective. I recommend Bosch o2 sensors (part # 15704)

Yes, I think...the plug you are talking about should be mono, thus have two wires. The tip of the male portion of the plug will be your speaker out positive, where the base of the plug will be the speaker ground. The white wire coming from the speaker will be your positive, while the black wire will be your negative. HTH!!

Howdy all,
Brake lights are out. I've checked the voltage to brake light switch and I have a schematic that says there is a brake light relay but I have no clue which one it is. Any ideas? This is an 87 Cherokee with the 4 litre.

just a quick question: but does the pa have an internal amplifier...cause a head phone jack only puts out like 0.9 amps or so...? looking to do similar but with my car stereo...

There is a relay for an antilock brake system, but not for the taillights. Did you check the fuses? I believe there are 2 - one in the inside fuse box (under driver dash), and one in the engine compartment distribution box.

You may have a bad ground at the taillights.

Ok my 1990 xj power seats stopped working. Can't find a marked fuse for it. How can I at least get this thing into a different position. Doesn't have to work permanently.
Just bought it and the previous driver must have been much shorter than the six two I stand.

the fuse for the seats is actually circuit breaker #11 in the fuse block located over the brake pedal. A fusible link is also located under the carpet.
