I have a '99 Limited. Is my front driveshaft a 'Slip-Yolk' style?

A lot of things... it is a Jeep after all. Can you describe the jerking a lil more please?

I typically change most "wear" items when doing a swap. Depending on the year of the engine you get and how complete it is I would look at new intake manifold and ex. manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets. Taht is if your new engine is used adn not a refurb crate engine.

Very true my gas mileage is not very good, not sure exactly how bad yet though. My heater takes forever to heat up also.Do you think that is why, or should I flush the heater core?
I do not have a code reader, sorry newbie here. I think my buddy might though.
Dukie you rock!Thanks so much.
Yesterday I installed a 195 degree thermostat. Just as you suspected & I hoped it was a 180.
Today i drove to work, it heated up within 5 minutes, heater worked fast and well. Hopefully i get better gas mileage to. TEST IN PROCESS.

I had a cb antenna on the front bumper with the wire running around the passenger side of the engine bay into the cab. Now I cant pick up any radio stations on the head unit. I thought that the cb had interferred with the radio antenna, I have since taken the cb antenna off and was hoping that I would have my radio signal back..... but nope. Anybody have this problem?

Edit: I had good radio signal at first with the cb on the front but I raised the CB antenna up to get better reception and that is when the radio lost reception.

Today while driving my 98xj I noticed my voltage meter drop significantly I had the radio heat wipers and rear defrost on. I shut all off and the meter went back up so I started turning things on and off to see if it would drop again. That's when I noticed that is was the rear defrost that was causing the voltage drop. I have a gel battery that is only a few months old. So I am assuming it is not the battery. Has anyone had this problem or heard of this happening?

Looking for some info on the outer axle seals i see advertised. I have searched the site numerous times about these seals with no result. I have a 1995 xj, with the d-30. my axle seals are leaking so in the process of collecting parts to replace u-joints, seals... and so on. Has any one used these outer seals instead of the cheap plasic oem ones? If so would you recomend them?

I haven't used these but they are on my todo list. When I changed my front axel u-joints I noticed quite a bit of dirt and junk in the tube, I got all I could out but I think these seals would be the thing to end this type of problem.

did you run the wire thro the right side of the jeep. the wire for the antenna runs from the radio to the right fender. may have pulled the wire from the radio. its just pushed into it. pull the radio and check it.
