I've done it twice in past summers with this style recharge kit. I've never had any problems before. I did have the ac on max and highest blower speed. My problem is that there was NO refrigerant moving from the can to the system. Basically it just pressurized the hose from the can to the fitting to 110psi.
I did however have Midas do the ac last summer and they replaced the fitting because mine were leaking. I dont think my gauge hose is pressing down Schrader valve to let the refrigerant flow.
I'm going to go down to Oriellys and get new fittings and try that.

Check tirerack as well as Craigslist. I like my Firestone destination ATs. Serve their purpose. By great for heavy offroad but light rocks, mud and such you're good. As for price you might hve to get a Kelly brand tire or similar

How about these? They look just like the at/s but come in a bigger size than 215

Can you push a pen or similar Into the valve and see if anything comes out. Good luck with getting it to work. I just have bad luck with items like that. I'm gone fully service the AC this summer and do a vacuum, check for leaks and fill up. I don't use it much, its mainly for te fiancé. Just sucks it'll be $100 to do it. Oh that and for te compressor to kick on for defrost I guess
Im going to try and figure out my line issue today.
