I know girl. Thats why I said tighten my dear. New belts stretch a lil after they are installed so you have to adjust once or twice. This happens with a couple of brands

I just reread your other post, realizE you didn't do it yet. Try and tighten the current belt up. Keep in mind the new belt may need that adjusting just as a fyi

Is an oil pump something that goes bad often? I feel like I've never heard about others going out.

Thats because usually when they go out you need a new engine. Last thing on their mind is the oil pump. A buddy of mine's 00 spun a rod bearing when his oil pressure dropped to 0 and he never seen it.. Never figured out if the oil pump was actually bad, but we did find some of the orifices the oil goes through to lube the bottom end were clogged up with some junk. You're lucky you caught it in time.

I'd like to think I caught it in time. Going to put a Chrysler oil pressure sensor in to see if it's just the sensor I've got in, if not I'll put an oil pump in and strainer. I need an oil pan gasket and RMS anyway I just wanted to wait until summer when it's lifted so it's easier for the oil pan to come out

You'd hear it if you didnt. You'd of heard it pounding like there was a random hammer threw in your bottom end smacking the side of the block.

That's good news. I have, I hope, a lifter tick and that's all. It quiets down when I get on the throttle so I'm pretty sure that's all.

Another question, what rotella do you recommend? Planning on running 10w 40 for summer.
