My jeep was made in the us so why cant I use a normal starter where is it on a normal jeep mines on the "pass" side under the oil filter

My motor is exactly the same as lhd my steering components are just on the other side its not some whacked out mirror image it was made in america just like yours

No, no, no. It's in the same location physically. The firing order is backwards. If you use a LHD starter it will try to spin the engine the wrong direction. The RHD starter spins the other way.

The wheeling I do can be done on a 10 gallon tank and still make it back to the gas station.

That is were your lucky i have to drive at least three hours to get to a spot even worth wheeling or is not shut down by a bunch of freeloading natives ( no disrespect to any one on this site)
