I have the older 1990 renix cherokee. Are there 'any' codes I can get out of my jeep's computer concerning running condition? And what type of tester/interface would I use to do that?
I'm sure it's somewhere on this site...
Thanks,
Dylan

No.

DRB-II I believe can pull live data from it.

No it keeps constant rpm and the motor acts like it want to get up and go but there is no force to the wheels. I can get it to respond if I pull over and turn it off and the prime re fuel line once or twice but then about the same distance it happens all over again. And like I said I replaced the tranny pan gasket, filter, fluid, and the fuel filter and after I changed the filter and fluid and gasket it ran like a champ. But all of a sudden it decided to die today and it is doing the neutral feeling again like it did before I changed the gasket fluid and filter last time I only got to drive it for about 5 days after I changed them. Any suggestions?

When you say reprime the fuel pump, you mean turning it off and then on again right?

I'm leanig to what I think it was newkindofclown suggested and its the neutral safety switch

Most of them only fail cause they start sticking. Disassemble, clean, reassemble. Good as new.
