Are you sure it's the pitman arm? I'd do some more research into the issue to make sure you're spending money on the right parts.

Not sure I follow... The only issue I could see is turning while in 4 WD with the locker engaged, and even then it wouldn't matter what steering you have. You'll be fine.

My buddy had troubles with his stock steering after locking the front. So I'm getting rugged ridges 1 ton steering upgrade. Was just wondering if there are any cons to it. Didn't think there were, thanks! I dont have the locker in yet btw.

Ah OK. I'm guessing it was an auto locker?

Gotcha. Yeah with auto lockers they engage while under load (acceleration) and don't allow the tires to differentiate rotation making steering more difficult. It doesn't matter what kind of steering linkages you have, but the 1 ton will hold up to the abuse better.

So just don't hammer down while turning? Lol and I just want 1 ton for peace of mind. Don't wanna be stranded with my stock crap on the ground.

Pitman arm has nothing to do with any of that. Your TREs are worn. Do you have a new trackbar from your lift?

Pretty much. Lockers of any kind while engaged, front or rear, put extra stress on parts. I won't say you gotta be scared to use your gas pedal but being smart about how you off road will certainly help the life of your parts.

Got a 1990 4.0.4x4 got it for free. Guy said it ran before but has ignition problem. It cranks over has fuel. If you turn the key it will not turn over. If you jump starter cylinoid it turns over. So starters good, why wont key turn it over?

Does it click or do anything at all when you use the key?
