Need help on ac system.....First of all I bought an o ring kit for the hoses and started to replace them but it feels like when I am tightening the nuts I am crushing the o rings !! How tight do they need to be ?? Second question.. What the hell is that valve right off the drier with the small hose hooked to it ?? Mine is all jacked up and had pieces of o ring hanging out of it !! Can I buy that valve separate ? I just bought a new drier and condenser so I think I am good there just not sure about that valve.

Looks very similar to my seepage. I read that since it is on the passenger side it is likely just seepage. My understanding is this side is not under pressure but rather gravity allows the oil to flow back down. All I have read also says no big deal.

is there a write up for doing undercoating on the xj? what brand/type is the best? do you have to pull your trans to do it or any other components etc etc
i was thinking i would like to put new carpet in cuz mines in debate-able condition but first i would like to do a bedliner on the inside and also undercoat the underside to protect my floorpans inside and out not sure of the condition of them at the moment but i havent really given it a thorough going over only seen some surface rust on the hood
also the plastic fenders do they just come off along with the clips that hold it on or do the clip parts need to be cut off? thanks
sorry for the huge post late nite brainstorming is dangerous

I used bailing wire in mine for a long time but you can get a new clip from a parts store probably the only problem is you have to re crimp cable to put a new one on
Cool thanks I just had the idea of spreading the cable and popping it around the little metal nub.
