So i got a couple questions regarding wiring up the efan to a switch. One, do i just need a switch and wire? Then wire the positive to the switch, ground out the negative from the fan(and no ground from the switch itself), then take a wire from the switch to the battery?
2, i know the fan comes on during ac use and the defrosters, do u need to turn it on periodically yourself then when using defrosters or ac?

1.) 1 wire from the switch goes to any ground on the Jeep. The other goes to the dark blue with pink stripe wire going to the ECU.
2.) No

Is anyone else annoyed that the cigarette lighter only works when the jeep is in the on position? I sure am, and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to run just a 12v wire from the batt+ or another source to the lighter. Would it constantly drain my battery or work like ALL other cars cigarette lighters do? I suppose if nothing else I could hook it to a switch right ,then turn it on and off whenever I wanted.
Ideas or insight is much appreciated thanks everyone.

HELP...
Ok I'm new here so feel free to criticize. I have a 96 Grand Cherokee 5.2L. with a glass pack and cold air intake if it matters. It started studdering upon acceleration right about 3,000 rmps at first only at 1/2 to 3/4 of throttle almost like a governor. so i replaced the plugs. Then cap and rotor. Checked all my fluids. and replaced the MAP sensor. NO CHANGE checked the codes and got a #7 misfire and a general misfire cleared the codes after replacing the parts.... today i take my son to school. i was making it to do it again. and it dies. starts makes to school and back dies 2 more times. in under 5 miles of road. and now its in my driveway and will not start again. I'm going to make sure fuel level isn't a problem. it says an 1/8 of tank but i have had several issues with that. But that's a different discussion. also about the same time this started i got a rattle in my exhaust something is in there right after my ressinator. I am new to owning a jeep but not mechanics. but im dumbfounded plz help

As long as it's fused there's nothing wrong with that.
It won't drain your battery any more than any other vehicle.
I'd just run a fused wire straight to one of the vacant spots on the fuse panel.
There's no sense in going all the way to the battery.

I'd start with 5 gallons of gas.

My sons doing much better, he had a seizure lasting 23 min. After that his body stayed stiff for about 1 hour, they had to give him a super dose of his regular seizure meds to get him stable. This morning hes up, no fuss and seems to be feeling great. Hopefully we get to go home today.

Maybe find a diagram for how the 99s extra port is wired up and go from there.
Another option, I've seen people hardwire USB ports for charging phones. I know there's was a guy on CF that did it.
