Styling. But it only matters if you can drive your MJ.

Do you need a header panel for that thing? I have one sitting in my yard... Where are you at, anyway?

To vent the cab. So that when you shut the door your eardrums don't hurt. And so the cab can vent with the HVAC system on. If you take off the inside trim, you'll see how it works.

I'm pretty sure I've seen someone put a rearview mirror out of an s10 that had compass and temp I. Their XJ. I could find it googling. Stupid phone.

Anyways, if I was to do that. I think it would be possible to make a temp sensor for an overhead console work for temp.
But where do XJ overhead consoles get their compass info from?

I have one from a caddy with that display waiting to go in also. Temp comes from a sensor behind the grille. Compass I believe is internal.

Cool. I look in the Cadillacs too. Does it have map lights? That'd be cool to have on there.

I'd need the temp sensor from the caddy? Or a jeep?

I've got a performance curve high-flo spun catalyic converter and a flowmaster44. It has a nice deep tone when just tooling around, and a loud roar when I give her WOT. Actually sounds pretty damn mean when climbing or mudding, ie. low RPM's. I've been asked before if I have cam'd it out because of the tone.
I'm sure my machined throttle body, headers and cowl intake have contributed to some of the sound; but a fellow jeeper friend of mine has just the flomaster44 and it has a good throaty tone by itself. Youtube has a bunch of different videos of setups that helped me make my decision. One word of advice, your exhaust will sound louder inside the cab than outside. So make sure your stereo works good

Need help with my 96 jeep Cherokee sport. The auto trans pops out of gear while I am on the highway. I pull over get to a stop, and then it works again. also, sometimes the tranny will only shift if I manually shift then it will work again. I have fluid and have adjusted the kick down. the tranny is about a year old. need help as I do not want to buy a new car

Or just ride in a mid 90's model chevy pickup. We had one as a work truck and besides the hinges failing every month or two, if you slammed the door without one of the windows down you were in for some sore ears.

So i over heated transmission on my 98 classic helping a Friend tow a trailer for about a four hour drive. It basically started leaking from every were Oil pan, in between the bell housing and spaying all over the under side of the jeep.
I went and grabbed some trans fix and put a bottle and it stopped leaking for a few days. Now its leaking from inside the bell housing again. Im taking it into a transmission shop on Thursday is there anything i should look at before i take it in ?
I really don't wanna get raped by the shop.
Im guessing it the seals how much work is it to do my self

You should look for another trans on craigslist. No telling how much that damn shop is gonna charge you.
