If the Renix actually used the same sensor for the ECU as the gauge I'd be concerned. But as it doesn't, I'm kinda thinking "Why would you want to fake the in-dash gauge reading?"

Good morning! So I have a bit of a frustrating issue, that I thought I had resolved. I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0 V6 It is seemingly jumping into neutral then back into gear when I am driving. Let me give a little bit of history:
A few months back I had the computer replaced because it was idling very poorly and out of no where started jumping into neutral then back into gear while driving, or at least that's what I believe it was doing, and it was very frequently like every couple seconds. I've had a lot of electrical issues in the past (Due to a rat from hell who chew up a bunch a wiring) and it was explained to me that a short in the clock spring probably caused part of the computer to get fried. Anyways after that I had no issues until recently.
About a month ago I noticed it was seeming to jump into neutral randomly and back into gear, either while driving or sitting at a light. I noticed it only would do it when the jeep had time to warm up quite a bit either by sitting in traffic or by driving longer distances. Checked the transmission fluid and sure enough I was about a quart low so I filled it up, issue went away for about a month. It has returned as of last night though on my way back home after driving about 75-80 miles. Checked my transmission fluid and it is full... Just trying to get some ideas on what else I can try, or even if it might not be a transmission thing..

There is a write up on CF on how to test the sensor with an ohm meter. (its a free test so why not) On mine there was a spot on the TPS that would give an erratic reading on the meter, the rest of the sensor would test fine with a sweeping resistance on the ohm meter. Replaced TPS and no problems.

I figured it out. I was just being gentle because I was afraid to break one.
I am having a problem with my electric coolant fan. I checked the fan and it is good....Can anyone tell me where the relay is ? It is a 89 cherokee with the 4.0 also can anyone tell me where I can get the under the hood relay cover and hardware. Mine is gone, I would sure like to cover that part of the engine compartment up !! Thanks

Pump went out which seems to be the norm with these jeeps. Did the Swap to a 1992 non abs system. eveything worked perfectly with some slight modifications but now the jeep keeps getting stuck in park. Does anybody know what part i need to replace to fix this problem?
