(sigh)
Flashers work so the bulbs are all good.
Replaced the round blinker unit (under the dash)...still no-go
Checked the relays and fuses and all look fine....still no-go
Bought and installed (thank you all the Cherokee forum guys and gals for your fine posts and pictures!!) the turn signal harness. Oh, yeah, THAT was fun! and still no-go.
I noted here some advice about searching for wires that might be touching the manifold....I'll check that next. Any advice, suggestions, "been there done that" will be so appreciated. Have to get it inspected and this is holding up the works!

There are 2 flashers. One for turn signal and one for hazards. Which did you replace?

Okay. This morning I started the jeep and moved it into the driveway to wash it. my steering was a little weird as in its like my power steering wouldn't work for about a second and then it was normal. Then I stopped, shifted into drive, and when I went to turn again, it was hard for about a second and then it was normal. I put it in park, washed it, and then it sat until the evening when I started it to go to class. It was idling at a little over 2000RPM which isn't normal for it when it's cold, it's usually at about 1500-1700. So I let it warm up for a little and it wouldn't drop at all. I revved up a few times and there was no change. But I was running late so I backed out of the driveway and my brakes didn't want to work too well. Then when I would pull up to stop signs and I was on the brakes it would do a little jolt or kick forward a couple times until I came to a complete stop. It did this each time and when I would sit at stop signs or lights it would still idle up in between 1700-2000 RPMs. Then when I put I into park it revved way up to 2500 and kept climbing so I shut it off.
Keep in mind we replaced the TPS yesterday, but we had it set to where its "supposed" to be and I drove it twice afterwards and it did fine.
Sorry this is so long!

Hey Everyone,
I have been searching trying to figure out what is going on with my Jeep, and got some info, but I was hoping someone could maybe help narrow things down.. I have been running with a low idle for a while.. not to the point of stalling, but not smooth either. (Fluctuating just under the line below 1000 rpms...) I decided to change the spark plugs, not knowing how long its been since they were changed. The plugs that were in there were Bosch.. I switched them out with Champions. (483's) gapped at 35... I added some oil ( it was a little low, but not bad) and tightened a few of the valve cover bolts that had a little more play than I would have liked. When I went to start it up, it started ticking and the oil pressure gauge flew up and pinned at 80... I shut the car off right away... Any ideas what could cause that? The car starts up and idles fine for the 20 seconds I have it running...lol... No CEL... As far as I can tell, all the wires are hooked up and in good shape. Ugh...
Oh! I have a 2000 Cherokee 4.0

Radio slides into the kit thru front of kit. Radio needs to ALREADY be in the cage thing that comes w radio before you slide it into the kit. Then that cage, it has little "fingers" cut out. They progressively travel away from the kit piece as you go from the center out. Whichever ones you can bend up, which are closest to the center...basically the fingers you can bend which will be tightest against the kit part, bend em up to keep the kit part from sliding back away from the face. Then the whole contraption goes in the hole.
