Also I found a book a couple years back when I first got my xj. Its some sort of HUGE manual that explains how to diagnose, repair, replace, remove etc. every part basically. It says its only for the 94-96 jeep, would anyone be interested in this?
I believe its the original repair book dealers used or something. Blows a Haynes manual out of the water.

I would just replace the pan, its rather cheap, around 50$, that is if you can do it yourself. Another thing could be to drill it out bigger, then tap it if you have a tap set, but I would rather just replace the pan.
Someone else might be able to provide better answers tho.

So the drain plug (bolt directly under the tranny pan, for my own clarification since i couldnt find any other bolt) is replaceable? How would u do that? It didnt look removable.

And for the record the torque spec for a fill plug is I'm sure in INCH-lbs, not FOOT-lbs. So you overtighted by a factor of 12x.
