first reconnect the vacuum line.
second with any sort of mod like this you need to reset the PCM back to factory a/f trim settings:
Disconnect battery terminals and touch together for 30 seconds. (This is to discharge the PCM capacitors, which maintain the Adaptive Memory.)
Reconnect the Battery Cables.
Turn Ignition Switch to the “On” position but DO NOT start the engine.
Turn Headlight “On”
Turn Headlights “Off”
Turn Ignition Key “Off”
The PCM Adaptive memory has now been flashed, or erased from the PCM.
When you start the engine it will be running off a set of pre-programmed tables that come with the PCM from the factory.
When you get the engine up to operating temperature the PCM will start to collect data for the “Adaptive Memory”.
The PCM will collect data for Adaptive Memory for the first 50 Warm-up Cycles.

my oil pressure gauge in pegged at 80psi, and I had trouble starting the jeep. Once I started it(after some effort), it would not run unless I kept the rpms above 1000, so it would not idle at all, just stall.
Can these two issues (80psi oil and the start/stall issue) be related?
It is a 2000 XJ sport 4.0 auto.
Any help appreciated.

Sounds like you have a bad drag link bushing, either at the pitman arm or at the wheel. Could also be the trackbar bushings. Verify for sure by having someone turn the wheel left and right while you sit in front and watch (engine on).
a) truck body moves side to side before the tires turn = bad trackbar bushing(s)
b) pitman arm rotates before the tires turn = bad drag link bushing(s)
c) One tire turns before the other = bad tie rod end bushing(s)
d) steering wheel turns a lot before the pitman arm rotates = bad steering box, low power steering fluid, power steering leak

Banging from under me in 4Hi
I got stuck on Ice last night and put my jeep into 4 Hi Full time, and when i was on the gas at about 2000 RPMs trying to move i heard a loud banging coming from under me. I got off the gas and when the RPMs came down i put into 4lo and moved no problem, but i was stuck in 4lo and couldn't get out of it. after playing around with the Transfer Case shifter i got it into 2Hi but with a grinding noise. Tried everything today and didnt hear a single noise.
Could it be a bad transfer Case?
Thanks for the help.
