Clutch fan bolts
Ok, so I am trying to replace the fan clutch on my '00 Jeep and I can't seem to loosen the 4 bolts. They feel like they're welded on...lol (Maybe just my chicken arms?) Anyway.... any ideas or tricks to help make loosening them a little easier? Can I use PB Blaster on them?

Heh, I've been taking notes from this one dude who used to work as service manager at a Jeep dealership a few years back...
In my 1999 XJ the windows are all fed by a single breaker. It may be different on your 1998 ZJ. Nonetheless check your junction block (assuming ZJs have those) for blown fuses and tripped breakers. You may also be looking at a bad ground.
Try the Grand Cherokee section and see if anybody has a wiring diagram.

I'd never trust that old fart......

so i replaced my broken temp sending unit today. before i broke it, it never read more than about 205 on the gauge even in stop and go traffic.
with the new one in and at about the same temp the gauge is reading about 240 in the same conditions that it read no more than 205 at before.
however, even though the gauge is reading 240 my fan has not kicked on and it seems to be running fine, so i think the regular temp sensor is picking up the right running temps. does this mean i probably have an air bubble near the sending unit or something?

What year XJ? Prior to 1997 the in-dash gauge and ECU/PCM used separate sensors.
Air bubble or just a faulty unit would be my guesses.

yeah its a 96 so i have the separate sensors. i also got a napa one rather than oem because the parts lady at the jeep dealership was a moron. i dunno. i guess i'll try burping it a little and see if it helps.

I started my jeeo and heard a weird mechanical noise. Went to turn on tbe wipers and they went about 1/4th the way and stopped. Stuck there now and the wiper motor seemed to make a crazy noise everytime i try and use the wipers. Is it the motor thats bad?

If the linkage binds up due to loose bolts, yes. Grab the arms and see how much movement is in the linkage.
