State emissions testing or not, removal of the cat is against federal regulations.

Got yah.

For others reading this and wondering down the same thoughts as i am...

Arethe replacements Cat's going to need anything "special"? What i mean, are the cheepo cats going to mess up the sensors and throw a code? I thought iread that if you buy, for example, the $50 magna flow that it doesn’t havesomething in it that is needed to stop the vehicle from reading an error.

I apologize for my ignorance, and not knowing the correct terminology. I can PM if needed, so i dont clog up this thread.

They're probably referring to the O2 sensor mounted in the cat.

Don't need a dampener. Leave it off.

The only upgrade is the tie rod.

Default Doors of a 96 classic for a 93 country

Aguy is parting out his 96 classic here.

I have a 93 country, with power locks, windows, etc.

His classic is manual everything.

Will i be able to swap these doors, as mine are rusted out, under themolding at the bottom of the door. I would want to pull all the guts out of mydoors and put them in his doors, so i keep power windows and doors, etc. Isthis a pain in my pooper?

Advice? what would you guys do? buy skins and repair the originals, orreplace the doors, swap the parts and paint the "new" doors?

No that's fine. Body style didn't change until 1997. I'd swap all the gadgetry over

I'd swap the doors. It'll work just fine.

I was just looking them up online and wanted to see pics of some xjs with them. The idea of the axel is pretty cool and atomic has some pretty awesome looking axles also. If I win the lottery ill have an xj built ground up with axles like that. Is the design strong? Looks like a potential weak point on the ends.

Do a search for Portal axles and see how they work. The only downside is price. You can get a pair of D60s for the price of a portal.

You can buy portals that bolt onto a 60.
