That makes me want to call about full coverage on my DD.

Full coverage won't be cheap if you're a new driver.

No kidding. If they're that concerned why can't they put you on THEIR insurance plan and have you pay them. Would probably be cheaper.

Transmission will only shift manually with tcu unplugged. Was fine before this, transmission did get hot while doing some yard work.

What is everyone's opinion on doing new lifters and pushrods when replacing the head gasket. The engine has 253k miles currently. I've got a slight lower to mid end knock and figured while I'm there id do em.

No idea if there's a MAF, not sure what they'd need one for.

I'd definitely start by changing the fuel filter and cleaning that mess out. You'll need to prime it afterwards. Some vehicles have a little hand pump or you may just be able to get the fuel pump to run and do it for you.

Yeah, the heads can be a weak point if these engines aren't looked after. Mine has had all 4 head gaskets replaced and the heads pressure tested last year. Apparently these engines were also fitted to some Range Rovers in the 90's.

Some have said to fit the clear bowl to the filter and fill it up with diesel before fitting it to the housing. There is what appears to be a blanking plug on top of the filter housing, maybe fill the housing through that as well. If I clamp the fuel hoses before removing the filter as well then hopefully it will be ok.

I checked 21st century and they wanted $1200 for just 6 months. Cant justify spending that much when the jeep isn't worth that. I'm checking progressive now.

As an insurance agent in Utah, for many years, it pays to shop around. Try to find a Trusted Choice agent that deals with Progressive and other companies.

Is it just me or is the AX-4 hard to learn to drive standard? Tonight was my first time drive my Comanche, I did circles in a parking lot.

My transfer case is off the jeep, and I want to put an SYE on, I know it's supposed to be in 4 low before I start, and the linkage was messed up when I took the t-case off and I couldn't get it into 4 low while on the jeep. Any way to tell what position it is in now? And which way to turn the notch thing where the lever hooks up to the right position? Hope that makes sense. I can post a pic if need be of current position of the rectangle tab thing where linkage hooks up.

edit:
think it will work if i click the tab thing forward and back and see if i can differentiate between 2hi, 4hi, neutral, and 4low? picture of the selector bolt thing in the link below.
