Ugh hate to ask but got no response from naxja, so recently I I took my throttle body off my 97' 4.0l and gave it a good clean. Everything got placed back as it should, iac didn't like the cleaning so it is now sticking lol so I know that issue lol but I also noticed now that the throttle itself is sticking, when I bump the gas pedal it'll rise like normal but it takes a bit to come back down. Never was like that before. So my question is, did the TB cleaner remove too much grease from the bearings that the butterfly throttle sits in/on? I honestly can't think of anything else, the map, tps, iac all got taken off before cleaning the TB, and placed back correctly afterwards.

What size is the torx bolt holding the bumper brackets to the bumper. The biggest I have is a t40 and that's just a little to small.
It's for a 90' 4.0

AC blowing issue. AC works fine. The different fan speed settings not so much. About a month ago 1 stopped working and 2 was blowing like 1, maybe less. Today, 1 still not work, 2 blowing fine, 3 no work. Setting 4 has had no issues. Blows hard.
What controls the fan/blower speed and is that my problem?

So, for the past 3 months, I have been the owner of a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. It has the 4.0 Liter Straight-Six, The Selec-trac transfer case, and the 4-Speed Auto. For the most part, the old girl is problem free. Though, something that has been a CONSTANT problem is the overflow tank. I'm pretty sure it's cracked, as when it gets to around 220 on the temp gauge, I'll open the hood, and I'll see that it's leaking coolant from the tank and onto the ground. I've been advised by my step-dad to look for an aluminum one to replace the plastic Piece of junk that it currently has. Does anyone know where I might find an aluminum Overflow tank for my beloved Cherokee?

as far I know vacuum leaks should be good since before cleaning the TB there was none and when I cleaned it, I made sure to avoid any vacuum hoses as I took it off. I set off to do a simple tune up with spark plugs and TB cleaning and I got more issues out of it lol

Not sure about the coolant bottle. I think most people who encounter broken parts on the Renix system just convert to the "open"-style cooling system found on Chrysler XJs.
I'll check the cables, the only one that I can think of that could have gotten some slack is the kick down but that only adjusts the shift points right and not how long it stays revving?

The vacuum leak I'm thinking of would come from damaged throttle body and IAC gaskets
Get the engine running without the air cleaner hose on the TB and go poking around. You'll either see the throttle plate moving slowly or you can go hunting for vac leaks

I didn't take em both apart I took one apart and was intending to use the other as I guide but.... Adjuster screws were only half intact, bottom spring on both sides snapped and the pins holding the shoes in snapped , holding springs popped on one side lol everything but the top springs lol.....I fingered it all out tho took me 5 hours ( novice) for one side and 20 min for the last ...also managed to run a new brake line to the rear...everything's great now. Moment of PANIC gone lol
