Default "click" sound when brake is applied

Quick question,

Recently had my brakes rebuilt, now I hear a very audible "click" upon pressing the brake. I didn't hear this before the brake job.

Am I just being paranoid or is this an issue?

P.S. I love this site. Thanks all for being great.

Probably just the pads breaking in. Someone else might know.

today while driving i was experiencing some slight vibrations in my front end going 55-60. if i speed up or slow down the vibrations go away. one time when i was going through that speed range i think i experienced death wobble for the first time the whole front end was shaking and i could it in my steering wheel the first time. any suggestions on what to look for first. my xj is completely stock with 80k miles on it no modifications to anything suspension or steering related.

Am I the only one who can hit a tree right? If it has frame damage get another one.

Inner fender is going to be a PITA since it's welded into the front frame rail but yeah looks like that tree just hit right beside it

So I think I may have a brakes leak... Spots next to wheels, brakes seem alittle spongy but when ever I look for a leak I can't find anything, any suggestions?

Stick head underneath; have buddy push brake pedal. If there is a leak you'll hear/see it. Just make sure to have some sort of safety glasses on, brake fluid in the eye is not fun.

I did one recently. Not too bad really. If you have a junkyard near you take a power drill, some spot weld cutters and a chisel/hammer. (Or whatever really) take the whole inner fender. Cut yours out. Weld in JY one. I was lucky to to trade a beater truck for a parts XJ so I didn't have fiddle with the JY.

Wuss. Brake fluid comes right out of your eye if you rinse it immediately with Brake-Kleen.

NOT. That stuff really burns.
