Alright, so i dont know if this started recently or not but yesterday i was on the highway going about 75. let off the gas and i instantly slowed down to 60....going downhill.....coasting. it was like driving a golf cart down a hill that has a governer or a limiter on it, it felt like something was pulling me back, my driveshaft was making a grinding noise I THINK. thing is...when i was going 50 i let off and i coasted fine, no abrute slowing down. :/

What are you doing? Putting an HO engine in a Renix?

IDK. H4s either 80/100s or 90/100s. Nothing special like blue or anything.

No, just don't want to spend money on a new temp sensor when I can make my renix one work.

So they're both single wire I take it. I know the Renix one is. I just wonder if they're the same internally.

Yea, I really don't like blue coating bulbs, just another thing to keep heat in.

Idk, ill probably do cheap *** 80/100 from eBay and stock up and stop my sorry *** buzzed *****ing already. Real issue is my harness sockets. Gotta secure those so. Bulbs stop dimming but that's an easy fix for this week

Thanks

Yes sir, I don't see why they wouldn't work.

How do I get a muffler off. I literally just put it on. Wasn't even tight. Now its stuck so is there any trick to it? I'm about to cut it or drive it till it just falls off. But I don't want to cut it, all new pipe and muffler

Resistance may be different. Try it and see if it works. It's either accurate or way off.

I assume we're discussing the temp sensor?

I know the MAT/IAT sensor is ~20° difference if you use a HO sensor in a Renix. Don't know about a temp sensor.

Heat the ends up with a torch till they are hot then pull. Wrap a ratchet strap around it then one to the axle? Lol gotta do what you gotta do.

Guess so lmao. Or anyone have any ideas to keep it from bouncing around? The muffler is right after the crossmember and it hits that and the floor pan. Tried some pipe hanger crap but it didn't work. I was gonna run it farther back and try and get it to a hangar? Idk but for now I just need to get the thing off lol heres a pic

Did you connect the muffler to the exhaust pipe with exhaust clamps? Once you tighten the nuts for the clamp it indents the pipe and the muffler inlet/outlet which is hard to seperate. With any clamps removed, start tapping on the muffler with a soft mallet. Start easy so you dont ding it up. Tap one side then the other, back and forth. If you really cant get it off then cut it and weld in a cherry bomb.
