Drivers side, immediately aft of the crossmember. Found it under a ton of scaly rust. Judging by the dents in the frame I'm wondering if this was wheeled rough before.

1996 4.0 with ax-15. When I get in first and take off, I will sometimes get a backfire. When I'm coming to a stop, clutch in, it will start sputtering and die out if the rpm gets too low. And then it doesn't really want to start. After every gear shift, there is slight hesitation at lower rpm. Strong smell of fuel, telling me the computer is flooding herself. No CEL.

I was thinking cps issue? Or plugs and cap and rotor???

Help!!!

I apologize if this is a common question, but I couldn't find quite what I was looking for just by searching.

I have a stock '99 XJ and I'm looking improve capable on overland trips. That said, it's going to spend more time on the highway that on unimprove roads, so I really just want

If you're not doing anything crazy, 3" Zone lift with full leaf packs or similar height Old Man Emu lift. 31" tires so you're still covered by the flares, and an Aussie locker.

Default Overland Suspension Tips/Resources

I apologize if this is a common question, but I couldn't find quite what I was looking for just by searching.

I have a stock '99 XJ 5 sp and I'm looking improve its overland capability. I'm going to spend more time on paved than on unimproved roads, so I don't want to totally destroy the gas mileage with a big lift. That said, I'm looking for any tips or resources on improving the durability/reliability of the jeep.

I'm located in Northern Virginia, if there is a shop or local resource I could speak with.

Thanks.
