This is about what I was thinking. I was hoping Cruiser or 5-90 might weigh in with experience.

Ok header replacement.
What is the general best one to get?
I know theres APN, Pacesetter.
I'm looking for something with some performance gain, but also serves as a good replacement period.
Is APN the normal one that people usually get?

You running the Baja 1000 or Indy? Get the APN. If you want performance, have a new headpipe made that eliminates the "crush" in the one you have. Have the muffler shop tuck it up higher than stock. Get a flex pipe after the downpipe to save stress on your new manifold.

To fit it in a 98, I got a O2 bung welded the same distance as the factory location of the old pipe and plugged the other location as well as the EGR tube opening with brass fittings from the hardware store. Go stainless steel
A flex pipe is a great idea
