For the price swing by NAPA and ask if they have Redline MT-90. Stuff is wonderful.

You change the oil.
Probably not. You'd see an improvement running 0w20 super thin "high efficiency" API SN stuff but the 4.0's reliability and longevity will suffer. Best wear figures in a 4.0 have been seen on 40-weight oils like Shell Rotella T6 and Mobil Delvac 1 5w40 heavy duty diesel oils.
Synthetic gear oil makes a bigger difference in cold weather apparently.
How long have you been here again? lol There are 9000 threads on this.

Some nice pictures here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/b...change-865520/
A few things different from that writeup though:
- Don't use motor oil. Find Redline MT-90 if you can, or a purpose-made Synchromesh product like Pennzoil makes. Other "special" gear oils or synchronized transmission oils will work as long as they do not contain a high amount of sulphurous EP additives. In other words nearly all AP GL-5 75w90 is out. My local NAPA had 4 bottles of Redline MT-90 on the shelf one day. Stuff works great.
- If you don't have a pump to reach into the fill plug, you can still remove the shifter. It's a pain in the *** though. Good to do it once, check the seals and boots, clean out the crud, but not something you want to do regularly as the entire center console has to come out.

I'm wiring up the starter back up. There is a tab that fastens down the main battery wire to the starter.
Where on the body/frame does that tab get secured?

on the starter, the big wire goes to the positive terminal and the little one goes to the starter relay.

I've been going round and round with my clutch fluid slowly going down after I bleed it. I'm getting it professionally done tomorrow to see if air is the problem but if it comes down to the slave leaking I would like to know what personal opinions are about what the best clutch kit is
