a little road noise but i blame my alignment

try cleanin the two lines coming off the valve cover
tps could be bad outta the box a buddy of mine is a parts slinger and has it happen on a regular
to me what it sounds like is its getting choked, is your exaust clear, no pinches or whatnot in the pipe, bad cat maybe, just not enough to trip your o-2 yet

Large hose coming off of vacuum reservoir
I'm still trying to find out where the larger hose that comes off the vac res. behind the bumper on a 90 w/AC goes to. It goes by the battery towards the firewall. It had been chewed on by a rat along with alot of other stuff. Can you also get replacement hard vac lines? The small ones.

My '87 XJ has a vibration from the front end under heavy braking. The harder I brake, the stronger I feel the vibration. It has new front pads and rotors as well as new rear drums, shoes, and hardware; I also replaced all brake lines and bled the system at the time. So I don't think it's an issue with the brakes themselves, but I'm wondering if I could be a front end component that is worn out. Any ideas what it could be?

One thing you might take a look at is whether one of the rotors got a little something behind it when you were installing. That might account for it being a bit off.

Draining coolant from the block
I've just purchased my first Jeep Cherokee. The coolant appears a bit muddy. The owner's manual suggests removing the rad cap,opening the coolant reservoir, removing the block drain and draining the coolant thru the block. In reviewing the coolant flush, water pump changes, etc I've not seen any reference to removing that plug. Just wondering if anyone has actually used the suggested method and what the results were?

you don't need to drain the block. Best way to drain the system is to just remove the lower radiator hose from the radiator and let it flow out into a bucket. Then just refill with new coolant.
If it is muddy, consider also getting a "flush kit", where you splice a garden hose fitting into the heater core hose to backflush the system with clean water before refilling.

Hey Guys, hoping someone can help me find out whats going on with my Cherokee.. Start up idle is horrible, if you hit the gas it chokes out and shakes and sounds like it is dying, you have to dump the clutch to get it moving. As soon as the clutch is engaged motor instantly smoothes out and runs perfectly, until you put it in neutral, then she goes right back to sputtering. The previous owner told me that when he drove it for a lil while it would just die, he'd let it cool and it would start right back up, I'm not sure if these are related problems. I dont think this is a fuel problem, like I said it runs great after you get it in gear and engage the clutch, but you have to engage the clutch to make it run normal. any suggestions?
Does it run OK in neutral with the clutch UP?
