When I ordered the fan clutch I also got a refurbished steering box from an 89 Camaro Z28 with the sports package. Looks like it'll bolt right in. But, searching the forums I couldn't find a writeup for this exactly, just people saying try it.
Anyone know of a writeup for this? Or maybe like the fan clutch it's so easy I don't really need one?
Sorry, never mind. I should just search youtube in the future maybe. This looks good. Video Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R33KUGXGfU

Can I ask why you purchased that steering box ? There is an excellent write-up by Dukie565 and many reports of having used Dodge Durango steering boxes.

Yup its the throttle cable. I sprayed as much WD40 in the cable as I could then put a lot of engine assembly grease in it. Will be ordering a new throttle cable tonight

Good. Have you refreshed your grounds? Sometimes, if the grounding system is not good, the system tries to ground through the throttle cable. The cable gets hot and sticks in the plastic housing.

What? No I haven't done that, which grounds? Basically the throttle sticks when its cold outside and once the engine warms up it stops sticking. I wonder why that cable is different then the other two

Stupid question, but when would someone need to replace their axle shaft?
When the u-joint goes bad? But why replace the whole thing like he does?

If you're in 2WD, and get the clunk when putting into drive...
There are 2 possible u-joints on that rear driveshaft, right?
One on each end? If one is bad, I might as well replace both, right?
They are the same part?

My jeep clunks when shifting to reverse and drive. Could the u-joints be bad? Also I can't find the part number for the accelerator cable that goes from gas pedal to throttle body, 1998 jeep xj 4.0 automatic transmission?
