Despite appearances a "Grand Cherokee" is not a "Cherokee"

Question guys, my jeep is gonna sit for 2 weeks while im out the country. You think the gas will need a stabilizer so as not to have issue with the gas and remove negative battery cable?

Couldn't hurt to unhook the battery but for the stabilizer I don't think its needed for only 2 weeks. My xj has sat for 2 weeks and didn't have a problem.

Our 98's are very similar. I have aussies front and rear and they work excellent. I started with the rear axle, then added the front later on. I noticed the front locker can limit steering when engaged. Other than the clicking sound of them unlocking during a turn there's not a lot to them. Try to coast through corners and get a feel for it in bad conditions before going to crazy. I know 2 other cherokee owners with aussies. One has theres in the front and the other in the rear of their xj. If you have the np231 a front aussie would be less apparent than the rear when driving in 2wd.

Mine is a DD as well, about 90% on street. If installed properly these lockers will last a long time.

After looking into it I'm thinking my idler pulley bearing is the squeak. Now that I think if it I had the same noise from my 90 and replaced it and it went away. But I will keep the gator belt in mind for my next purchase.
