Oh oh I know!! Magic, right? Those bolts never seize and the bushing sleeves always come out like butter!

Just funning. Btw salad your findings on the u bolt thread size for the nut I needed were spot on. M12-1.75

Thanks again!

That's right. Never-dry grease with infinite film strength!

Any reason why my air bag light would be on after a aw4 to ax15 swap? Not looking for the normal reasons like clock spring or fuse etc, it was not lit up the few days before ax15 went in (those solutions are easier to find). I swapped harnesses, computer, everything. If the trans swap with airbag issue is uncommon, I will consider the light a common problem like fuse or something and not swap related.

The airbag light is the only light on and "issue" after the swap to manual... was aiming for no lights, almost made it.

I'm assuming the donor harness, electronics, etc came from one XJ. Was it the same year as yours? What year/s are we talking about? I can't see your info on the app.

I'd get into checking harnesses. The TPS has some relation to the clockspring so everything seems to be more interconnected than appears.

I'm going to bed. My thought process before I go: If the donor was even 1/2 model year off, depending on the year, it could have different airbags and/or sensors.

From one 99 to another 99. The only thing different I can think of was black 99 that got everything swapped over to it had one more large fuse in the engine bay harness that the donor didn't, so I pulled it and swapped it as well. Never actually looked to see what it was though.

Yeah same. 15 year old wiring is gonna crack, too.

What not going to stay up until 3 AM again to work at 5?

The donor with a manual transmission had more fuses than the auto? Weird. Yours not have A/C? Maybe fog lights or something?

Both had AC. The formerly auto jeep had the extra fuse as well as power locks, aftermarket cruise, sunroof. Donor was roll up windows no cruise. I took extra fuse from auto harness and put it into manual harness, thought it had something to do wih the extra electronics the auto jeep had.

Default XJ Track Bar Bad

I have a stock 95 Cherokee Country that is swaying all over the place. When I took it to the shop guy he said the track bar was bad and needed replaced. Would I necessarily have to replace the whole track bar, or could I just replace the bushings? I found some that are supposed to help reduce The Death Wobble!

If the track bar is bad, it needs replaced. It uses a tie rod end on one end, which is a wear part. I suggest replacing it with a double shear bar if there's one that fits without any lift. I assume you haven't lifted since you have the stock track bar.

(PS- It might be another one of those nights, Canada)
