Hello people, I am looking to purchase an older Cherokee chief very soon. I have it narrowed down between a 1978 and 1979 both with 360 motor. I found some specs from "automobile-catalog" that states the motor in 1978 was 176HP, and the 1979 as 127HP. What is the deal to lose 50HP? I might have to go with the '78 just for that factor.

OK how should I drain the ATF+4 out of the transmission? Drive for a few miles then drain it out and fill with dex/merc and drive another few miles. Drain again and fill with Dex/Merc. Is 5 quarts enough to accomplish this?

hello everyone...im portuguese so i will trie make myself undestandable : i would like to ask if someone knows if the back up light switch in the AX15 transmission have regulation ; this because he works in my hand when i put a finger and press it and the lights turn on however when i put him in the transmission the lights doesnt turn on , so i did the experience and i know now he is woarking and not broken but in the transmission he doesnt work so i know its because he is not recibing enoth press in the transmission ..can i regulate him or i have no chance whit this switch and need to change him ? thankx

Talked to my buddy and he says I may need to change the AT filter again because it soaked up the ATF+4, is this correct? Also how do i get the fluid oyt of the torque converter? I'm just going to wait to change the fluid at school using the machine they have there.

well i usually change my oil filter when i do my oil. so yes. do that.
