I THINK he wants to know what on a 95 Cherokee will fit his 97 Cherokee.. Though, to the OP: How much detail did you want? Just engine, transmission, and transfer case? Or did you want to know everything down to the mirrors and the third bolt under the left side of the rear bench seat?

What does he need? I'm not gonna spend the next six hours detailing all the similarities, differences, and swappable parts. I suggest doing a fair bit of research on changes throughout the years before spending a few hundered dollars on any parts Jeep, especially one from a different body style.

Another question. The renix has the 231 with the sye mounted to the AX15. The 91 has the 231 without the sye mounted on the AW4. The only difference I have noticed is the vacuum lines coming out the rear of the t case on the renix. Are these T cases interchangeable? As far as the splines coming out the back of the transmissions and swapping the cases with and without the vacuum lines? That way I wont have to pop apart the entire cases to do the switch.

1991 AW4 should be 23-spline medium length, 1990 AX-15 23-spline short length. You can put the AW4 NP231 behind the AX-15 but not vice-versa, unless you swap the gears.

Unless your 97 needs an engine most of the parts will be a downgrade.

to be honest, whether or not you use any parts for your own Jeep, there is still money to be made. Buy the Jeep, pull out all the drivetrain stuff and all the body panels, seats if they are good, dash/other interior stuff if they are good.. Scrap the frame and body, and then sell everything you don't decide to use on yours on craigslist or greedbay.
