Buy the jeep for $300. Sell all the parts off the jeep that can be sold to make back your money plus extra, split extra $ with friend to help out since thats what you are originally wanting to do. Don't swap anything over to your jeep. Done.

Front axle, yes, if it's 4WD. Fan shroud, yes, if they both have the same motor. AC compressor, I think yes. Cruise, I'm not sure. I imagine everything except the multifunction switch on the steering column is the same for the cruise control system.

. Only question I have then why am I getting codes for the first and second cylinders too or do u mean heat soak for the whole set of cylinders

It's a common problem across the board. Some heat shielding between the intake manifold and the injectors was enough to stop it on my '01 I6.

I've got a 1987 laredo 4.0l project & having trouble finding parts. I need the emissions vacuum harness & can only find one for models 1988 & up. Can I modify?

You should be able to run the newer style, but I'll let someone else chime in to verify or rebut.

They're all the same:

Renix Vacuum Harnesses
The vacuum harness that attaches to the front of the valve cover and includes the grommet/fitting, and is called the front harness, is Napa part number BK 715-1367

The vacuum harness that is closest to the air cleaner, EGR etc, and is called the rear harness, is Napa part number BK-715-1366.

The tube from the rear of the valve cover to the intake manifold is part number 715-1365.

Auto? Dex/Merc only. by the gallon at walmart. 3.8 quarts on a simple drain and fill using the drain plug.

DO NOT USE ATF+4!!!! ONLY USE DEX/MERC. ATF+4 causes slipping, ask me how I know.
