We need folks to understand how incredibly simple the "guts swap" really is. Seems everybody is scared to death of it for some reason.
Go BREAK in your BRAKES and see how you like them.

This has probably been beat to death but I will ask anyway. When I bought my 98 Cherokee Sport the a/c compressor would not cut on. Added some freon and it started working. Obviously the low pressure switch. I figured there was a freon leak, and I was right. Last summer 2 cans of freon, this summer just 1 can got me by.
So now the weather is cooling off and I need to use my heat. Well, I have never had this problem before but now the windows are fogging up really bad when I run the heat. The freon was a little low so I added a can to help dry the air when running the defrost. It helped a little but not enough to remedy the problem.
I know what you are going to say. The heater core is going out. Well, I checked it and it seems to be okay. I do not have any leaking going on inside on the floor board. Flushed the heater core out, blew it out with air just to make sure it was not clogged or dirty. No issues there. Refilled with coolant and burped.
After cranking it back up and letting it run, I noticed my temp gauge actually went up to midway. Something I have not seen in a while. Temp has been staying down kind of low like the thermostat is staying stuck open? With the temp gauge at half way, heat was blowing super hot and no fogging.
Get in the heep last night to come home from work and it is cold out. Turn on the heat and dang it if the whole thing does not fog up again. Temps is not going up to half way point either like it was earlier in the day after flushing heater core. I don't know if messing with the heater core hoses at the t-stat housing maybe jarred the t-stat loose where it was functional temporarily? Would a bad t-stat stuck in the open position cause window fogging?
I don't want to start screaming bad heater core just yet because it flushed out clean. Just a tad bit of dirty coolant came out. And no leaking or coolant smell inside the vehicle.
Any help or tips how to trouble shoot problem would be great.

Haha.. Only one way to learn, right? If your running low temps then the first thing to do I fix it. Tstat is likely, but you can confirm with temp gun or hot water bath. If you haven't recently flushed radiator nows a good time. Try flushing heater core again too I suppose.
I have a 98 Xj sport 4 door. 212k on the 4.0 and aw4. When I start it cold and drive away it will hesitate if I hold the gas pedal in the same place. If I give it more gas it will stop hesitating and go fine. If I let it go to an idle while it does this is sounds like its not running on all cylinders and runs very rough and then if it idles low enough it will rev up a little on its own and idle fine. What do you guys think the problem is? I'm at a loss.

I was thinking the same, but it would also be beneficial to clean up the electrical grounds.
I was thinking the same thing. Just needed a second opinion. I also forgot to mention it stops happening after its warmed up if that matters

Clown, good call on electrical leads. Get it on a scan tool. Even if CEL isn't on, there could be stored information that will give you some direction. But I'm leaning toward o2 sensor.

While driving I am getting a hard "Jerk" of the entire jeep. It does not do it everyday, nor does it matter if its cold, hold, or any particular gear or speed. It does it about 3-5 times a week over a period of about 75 miles.
Its usually when I'm doing a steady 40-60 mph it will just one time quickly "Jerk" the entire jeep for a millisecond then drive fine.
I've done a drain and fill of the tranny, changed tps, IAC, plugs cap rotor wires air filter.
Idk where to look or what to do. Its annoying and feels as if it jerks to downshift but I get no rpm drop or engine sound change. Any ideas?
