Up to you. I like the look with them on, some don't like the look at all. The door moldings don't do much for rust, but the rear bumper caps trap a LOT of crud against the lower quarter panel.

Yeah I would probably need a timer of some sort to do that because I would imagine the controller being on all the time would kill your battery, I could be wrong though, I do plan to install hood louvers though

Hey guys i'm not much of a newbie been apart of the forum for a few years i had to make a new profile due to my email being retarded. But any ways I'm going buy me another XJ next weekend the seller is telling me that the trans over heated on him one time. He said he changed his trans fluid and filter and it never did it again. My concern is i'm driving it about 3 and half hours back home from its main location and i don't want it to over heat on me or even worse blow out out on me on the way home since its a 3 hour drive and its happen before. My question is how hard is it to install a Aftermarket Trans Cooler??

I put mine in line with the factory cooler.
I cut the top line, cleaned up the ends and slid the hose over the ends of both sides of the OEM line and added hose clamps. Done.

It took me 30mins to install mine not including pulling the grill and headlight bezels out. I cut the rubber lines coming off the aftermarket cooler the length I needed, removed the factory hookups from the radiator, pushed the hose over the stock trans lines, installed a hose clamp on each one, filled the cooler with fluid, hooked the hoses to it then mounted the cooler. Easy peasy.

Trans fluid runs through the radiator, intertwined with coolant. There is an inlet and outlet for each fluid on the rad. In most cases, adding the auxiliary trans cooler in line with the radiator is recommended for added cooling.
