Did you find, I mean your friend, find the socket? I, I mean a friend, did the same thing the other day and said F-it. I think it is still in there somewhere. What could really go wrong? Been in there for about 200 miles now.

Hey guys I have a question regarding the brake light switch that's on the foot pedal on my 1990 xj 4.0 L, went to the junk yard today and looked at another xj looks like I'm missing the component that releases the button to tell the brake lights to come on. All I have is the spring with the one bolt and two wires.. The one I looked at had a bunch of wires is there a way to splice this into the other? The other switch also controls the rpm? On my rear brake drums the sensor wires are cut not good right ? Any input will be helpfull ?. Thanks!

I think his intent was to ask what his real milage is after converting the odometer due to the altered tire size. At least, I hope that was his question.

zee, try here:
http://www.jeep-xj.info/HowtoSpeedoGears.htm

Lots to read, and there's a calculator to answer the question I asked on your behalf.
