I think his intent was to ask what his real milage is after converting the odometer due to the altered tire size. At least, I hope that was his question.

Hey guys I have a question regarding the brake light switch that's on the foot pedal on my 1990 xj 4.0 L, went to the junk yard today and looked at another xj looks like I'm missing the component that releases the button to tell the brake lights to come on. All I have is the spring with the one bolt and two wires.. The one I looked at had a bunch of wires is there a way to splice this into the other? The other switch also controls the rpm? On my rear brake drums the sensor wires are cut not good right ? Any input will be helpfull ?. Thanks!

Putting a RE 3.5 lift on my D35. Center pin won't fit the D35 perch...Am I better off drilling out the perch or sanding down the bolts? I feel like I'd be better off drilling the hole since I have a better chance of changing axles than new leafs. I want to avoid splitting it, I know they are the weakest of the axles...

Just noticed im leaking diff fluid out of my front Dana 30 on my Xj. Its coming out right where the axle shaft goes in. Why is it leaking? Ive pulled the axle shaft before, and I don't see any gasket or anything on the axle shaft ? so whats going on ?

Iirc there is a seal where the tubes meet the pumpkin. You probably tore the seal a little when you put the shafts back in.

In regards to my battery question: I live near Northern VA. My local store has an EverStart Maxx 34N battery. I know N means North, but will it survive in my Jeep in the NoVa climate? 800 CCA and 1000 CA sounds nice...

It will be fine. The case on the "N" batteries are just thicker to deal with lower temps.

Problem is that the lead plates are so close together that over time they make contact and you lose a cell. Your OEM 500CCA battery lasts well over 10 years. Pretty good value! Why do you need more?
I got the smallest brand name battery I could find with the best warranty because I'm concerned about reliability. Also my starter isn't plugged with oil

2' breaker bar is enough to get the differential out. Don't break anything!

So, I need to find out the part number for the sensor I need for a full gauge cluster coolant temp gauge... it's the one that's on the back of the block, driver's side. I went to NAPA once and they gave me the wrong part (it was two prongs, I think it was the sender for the computer and not the cluster) so I went back and swapped it for a different one. I told the guy I needed the one for the full cluster and not the idiot light. It looks like the right part but I have a feeling it's the same one in there right now. Any way I can test it or find the PN? I'll edit this post with the part number of the one they gave me when I run out to the Jeep in a second. (One of the reasons I doubt whether or not it's the right part is because the receipt says Coolant Temp Switch and not sensor or something like that.)
96 4.0, by the way.
Part number: TS6685
Another strange thing I've noticed is that a LOT of people say that 96 and newer 4.0s don't have the sender on the back of the block/head, but only one on the t-stat housing. Mine definitely does...
