So I'm brand new to this forum this looks like the place to ask questions. I have a '00 xj and the suspension is stock and needless to say it's sagging I was thinking about getting coils from an v-8 grand cherokee and making a bastard pack for the rear leafs and no plans for the shocks. Does anyone know how many leafs I should put in the pack to achieve a pretty much level ride height. Thanks for the tips

There's a thread dedicated to lift questions. There is no way to know how many leafs you will need to put in. It all depends on how worn yours are, how worn the added ones are, and how high you need to go. Pick up a longer shackle too while you're out there. The lift thread and the junkyard parts thread are your friends.

Quick question. I work with a guy who is selling a D60 for $150. Good deal? What should I look for/at?

Much of the info applies to rears as well.

Hey I'm installing a new wire harness & bulbs & housing...should I use dielectric grease on the bulb sockets and where I mount it to the hot wire?

Yep. For best performance and corrosion protection use electrical grease on the actual pins. Gardner Bender OX-GARD and Ideal's NOALOX do this, find them in the electrical section at Home Depot or Lowe's. Careful with this stuff as it CAN short things out. Then run a bead of dielectric grease around the outside to keep water and crap out. Dielectric grease is like a caulking that never dries.

Yeah I take it it would make a circuit if I mushed it all together with another plug, etc? I just figured I'd put a little dab on each connection point.

How hot do relays usually get? Saw someone say the relay I got comes loose easily, anything I could use to hold it together? RTV?! ha ha.

That's not what I said. I said the terminals that are in the plug housing back out of the plug when the relay is installed. You really have to hold the wires in there when you plug the relay in.

Ahhh, I thought you meant the plug going into the relay box would rattle loose over time. We will see how it works out
