So I'm brand new to this forum this looks like the place to ask questions. I have a '00 xj and the suspension is stock and needless to say it's sagging I was thinking about getting coils from an v-8 grand cherokee and making a bastard pack for the rear leafs and no plans for the shocks. Does anyone know how many leafs I should put in the pack to achieve a pretty much level ride height. Thanks for the tips

Hey I'm installing a new wire harness & bulbs & housing...should I use dielectric grease on the bulb sockets and where I mount it to the hot wire?

Yep. For best performance and corrosion protection use electrical grease on the actual pins. Gardner Bender OX-GARD and Ideal's NOALOX do this, find them in the electrical section at Home Depot or Lowe's. Careful with this stuff as it CAN short things out. Then run a bead of dielectric grease around the outside to keep water and crap out. Dielectric grease is like a caulking that never dries.

Yeah I take it it would make a circuit if I mushed it all together with another plug, etc? I just figured I'd put a little dab on each connection point.
How hot do relays usually get? Saw someone say the relay I got comes loose easily, anything I could use to hold it together? RTV?! ha ha.

That's not what I said. I said the terminals that are in the plug housing back out of the plug when the relay is installed. You really have to hold the wires in there when you plug the relay in.
