Silly goose that I am, I've lost my mind reading ability. Are you talking about the four AW4 bellhousing to 4.0 engine block bolts?

If so, these are the hardware store sourced bolts I used in my '99 (4.0/AW4).

Apparently you've gained your mind reading ability. Yes I have the AW4. Thanks for the help everyone I should be able to get everything I need to finally hook up this stroker. And yes I already bought replacements for those dreaded torx bolts just wasn't sure of the others as I didn't have any that would fit them.

What company should I look for in regards to CPS & IAC sensors? I know NGK/NTK make solid O2 sensors, but on rockauto I only see airtex and some others I'm not familiar with for CPS and I've seen some bad stuff about airtex components.

Also in regards to a trans mount replacement, is a Omix-Ada or similar sufficient?

CPS: Mopar ONLY

IAC (not a sensor...): NAPA Echlin is reliable and less than the Mopar. Any other brands are a gamble.

Trans mount: Moog is good, Omix-Ada should be reliable.

The outside door lock cylinder on my XJ seems to be sticking.
I put the key in, and the key won't budge. It's like it's glued solid.
After a while or jiggling it, something catches free, and the lock easily turns & unlocks.

What's going on?

Try this. Don't put the key in 100%. Put it in like 99% of the way, then turn it. My passenger lock does the exact same thing and I'm not sure how to go about replacing/fixing the lock.

Thanks though. Figured I might as well pick some parts up soon to refresh the bits that keep it running smooth. Anything else for the long run? Throttle position sensors are something else I read about going out and causing trouble. I don't want to just start replacing every single part for no reason though. My exhaust manifold has a small crack forming which I need to get done sometime in the future...

Then don't. Go around your engine bay and do a ground refresh and connector refresh. Clean and inspect every sensor and gadget, replace those that look sketchy. Some are really very easy to test with a multimeter.

IAC's really just a nuisance when it dies. CKP and CMP on an OBD-II XJ can leave you stranded. If you want to go the long haul keep spares of those in your Jeep, but replacing them outright doesn't make sense if yours are working. Even dealer parts have the odd DOA.

Anyone have a spare door lock cylinder retainer clip for a 88 xj?

Mine broke and every time I close the door the cylinder falls out about 2 inches.

Is the lock frozen? Do you garage your Jeep?

My Comanche used to do that. I had to jiggle the key back and forth until it moved. Never figured out the problem, though.

That's usually worn key or tumbler.

Know what really wears out keys and ignition tumblers? Huge frickin key chains that weigh 14 pounds.

Beats them to death.

I'll be sure to lecture the PO. It was nice having an ignition key that I could pull out while the truck was running. No keys jingling when I was offroad, and if someone stole it while it was warming up, they wouldn't get it going again once they stopped.
