Big fat wire, separate breakers or fuses. The important bit is that the seats are driven by an active controller, not by a timer.
If you want to use your defog switch get a relay in there to drive the seats directly from the battery, and don't come QQing if your *** gets burnt lol

Thanks, guys.

Drivers seat question
heading to the j/y tomorrow in the hunt for a drivers seat from a 97-01. I've read these are tricky to remove/install. looked at the bolt points and they don't seem that complicated. am I missing something? help me out XJ'ers. btw, these are manual seats.

Only complicated thing about them is getting the whole unit out without scratching plastic trim with the mount.
I can't remember the sizing, something tells me the three bolts/screws are 1/2" heads and the one nut on the stud in the back is 17 or 18 mm. Honestly getting those undone is the hardest part since they soak up rust from the floor.

Haha no. Slide seat back to get at the front bolts, slide forward to undo the rear hardware. Lift up off the stud then wiggle it out the door.
Manual seats are pretty easy to remove. There will be a wire going to the seat belt on the driver's side.
I pulled some electric seats at a yard and had a tough time getting them out because without power, I couldn't move them forward to get easy access the rear bolts.

No plugs, just the three bolts and one nut.

So, doesn't smell like antifreeze. Doesn't smell like much of anything, actually. I heard there's some lines that have something to do with the AC over there. Wondering if it could be something to do with that?
Though, I turned the heater on and smelled the vents... the air coming out of the vents did kinda smell sweet. Kinda like syrup I guess?

I just went outside to check on the towels I put down last night... there was this wet spot on the driveway.
Coming from this hole:
leaking on to the muffler:
pretty steady too, like a drop every couple of seconds.
It doesn't smell like anything, and I checked inside of the Jeep and can't find any source. Checked under the rear seats, which is where that hole seems to go...

They seem considerably heavier than a 231. I got one sitting around. I'm a bad judge of weight though. It won't be cheap I can say that much.
