Kinda long story:
1988 XJ 4.0 4x4 AW4
Randomly this summer it started getting a "jerk" while driving. Speed didn't effect it, gear didn't effect it, hot or cold didn't effect it. I would be driving steady at any rate of speed and randomly it would jerk a single time what felt like forward to back. Some days it did it multiple times in a 10+ mile trip, some days it doesn't do it at all.
I drained and filled tranny fluid with fresh fluid
New spark plugs,wires,cap,rotor, tps,IAC.
No changes were noted after all of that was swapped out, I am having a bit of a rough unsteady idle almost as if I have a miss. Not its not constantly idling rough, it randomly starts acting up.
NOW: I am still having the jerking issues and at times when a light turns green I give it gas, its almost like the keep completely dies then just takes off. Almost like a big bog off the line. I'm not punching it either and choking it for fuel, it will be steady slow throttle and I'll get the bog then it just takes off.
Sorry for long post guys.

CPS?
If CPS, did you route the wires correctly so they can't touch the exhaust manifold?

My brother in law used the Jeep all week and said it shut off on him while driving once. He wiggle the battery cables and everything works fine again but the check engine light stays on most of the time. Today is the first day I've got my hands on it, the battery connections are tight but I noticed the wipers are really slow and the heater blower doesn't seem to be blowing as hard on full power as before so now I'm thinking I have a lack of voltage somewhere. Any ideas?

As for the o2, I have not done that either. I was not sure if that would effect the jerking issue.

How do the battery posts and terminals look? Clean and shiny or caked with corrosion?

Cables it is then! http://www.kelleyswip.com/electric.html
I know I'm beating this to death but it's driving me crazy. I still have my misfire cylinder 3. Switched fuel injectors around and still having it along with testing my coil which tested fine. I've also wrapped my fuel rail and injectors. I don't have a vacuum leak (atleast not that I have found so far). I replaced spark plugs on number 3 and it looks kinda oily/burnt on carbon oil mix.
I still need to pull my valve cover and check the valve spring on cylinder 3.
Any other ideas of what to test and look for?

Is this unibody support? Can I get rid of it when I put my winch bumper on?
It's the triangle metal piece that the horn attatches to under the front fender well behind the bumper
