Lol that's what I was thinking. I can't see all the info on my iPod, just names. But now I know it's the newer Xj, not as old as mine. Thanks dukie.

Don't I need to push in on that bolt in the pulley below? That is to release the tension.

Hmm. Then I am very lost. I'm having a buddy help me by phone and I have little mechanical knowledge.

I have had like 3 people explain this to me and I know I'm missing something really simple.

What bolt am I missing?

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Now last question on this I swear. How do get something down there to loosen it? The fan is in the way for me to get my socket to the bolt on the pulley.

You can always take the fan out.

The little mini bolts don't want to come loose. I'm done for the night, it's too dark. Tomorrow if I can't work around it, out it goes.

Not coming loose as in rusted? Or are they stripped?

If rusted spray them with some pb blaster.

don't try to take the fan off. You need a special tool to hold the fan in place while torquing on the bolts. Just invest in an extension for the socket.

Dukie is right it is a slight pita but it is do able. Chrysler wouldn't have made it impossible since it needs servicing. If I still lived at home with all my tools I would take a picture of the socket for that. You need the swivel one plus an 18" adapter. Works like a charm
