Wouldn't hurt it even if it does. I slipped off a rock onto one of mine, and it just scratched the powdercoat.

Figured if it went to low it would make on road driving harsh. Gonna do a short arm setup at 4-4.5". Wanna add a small puck upfront. Keep putting it off but since i drive swayless now, CA angle makes certain bumps harsher

Are you lifted? If so I strongly recommend against installing another OE track bar. If you aren't then just go for it... should get another 16 year of service out of it

Yea it's 3 in of lift. Thing is the trac bar is only like 5 yrs old. It's a little thicker than stock too.

Ah. Stock type doesn't last very long when lifted at all, it's not designed for the greater angle.
I hear the Iron Rock Offroad one is a good choice at that height.

just scored an addition to my xj stables. got a 95 sport auto w 215k off CL for 700 bucks, its got its share of issues but overall runs great. the first issue I need help w is the power windows/ the drivers door is al the way down, and even tho the the kid I bought it from said they dont work?, i hit the driver side rear a tad anyways (i had to..DONT TOUCH THE SHINY RED BUTTON) and it did go down, regulator works, but wont go up. oh yea, and i found inside the cargo area an old driver door switch command module, perhaps an attempt?. my question is (and I hate electrics, my 91 is old school analog rivets be dammed)where do i start troubleshooting this, never had (or wanted) power windows...

So Installed some after market fogs. Didn't really wana pay 20 buck for the factory style switches and my three junkyard digs let me down. I've seen em on ebay and ehhh there still pretty expensive I mean its one freakin switch right?...but when i popped off my housing i noticed that theres a wire plug right next to the blank and one on the blank itself...with a full harness!!!!!! Where does it go is it for fogs and how can i exploit this trickery for some marker lights?
THanks yall!

Sort of... legend has it that if you don't have fog lights, only PART of the harness is there. I think the wiring goes as far as the connector under the dash.

I have a good amount of oil leaking from either the timing chain cover or the crank shaft seal. Hard to see with everything still in place. Anyone replaced the gasket on the timing chain cover or the seal? How long did it take and how hard was it? I searched but have not found any threads on this project. Anyone have a link?
I have about 168,000 miles so while in there, I was also thinking about changing the chain.
