95 4.0 2wd shifting funny
Mine has been acting funny..
wouldn't shift to 3rd till 2500 rpm ... warm up and shifted fine ...
now this morning it seamed to bog down and wouldn't take more throttle in second hung around 2000 rpm... you could ease it up to 50 mph ... but didn't want to rev up right...
When I tried to downshift it would pick up the rpm but didn't pull the truck...
its a 95 2wd Cherokee sport 4.0
I too am from a gm history but I love this old Jeep ... and it is teaching me all kinds of things...
I read about the tcm ...and the tps .... I am hoping some knows more than me and point me in the right direction

If you can't move with the shifter in 4L at all, the linkage is probably out of adjustment. This is what the FSM says to do:
SHIFT LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT
(1) Shift transfer case into 4L position. (make sure your shifter is fully in the 4L position)
(2) Raise vehicle.
(3) Loosen lock bolt on adjusting trunnion (Fig.
87).
(4) Be sure linkage rod slides freely in trunnion.
Clean rod and apply spray lube if necessary.
(5) Verify that transfer case range lever is fully
engaged in 4L position. (you can do this under the vehicle at the transfer case)
(6) Tighten adjusting trunnion lock bolt.
(7) Lower vehicle

That's the thing, in 4low it drives completely normal as if its in 2wd. There's no low gearing or high rpms when I drive 20-30mph with the shifter in 4low.
Somehow its not engaging at all. When I shifted back into 2wd there was a clunk from the drive train and it drove off fine.
But i would think if it doesn't completely engage in 4low it would be in neutral and not move. But it drives fine........ weird.

1998 Cherokee. I put on a snorkel so I had to remove the windshield washer bottle from inside the fender so I need to put a different one in the bay. I got a ZJ bottle from the JY but it doesn't fit with the airbox still in place and what some people say is one from a 96 or older but I've got that canister in the way. Where else could I put one?

40 amp relay
5 100watt spotlights
12 Volt car battery
Need 20 feet wire
I have looked in 3 places online, they all said different things... 10 gauge, 6 gauge, and 2 gauge. wth

6 AWG provides reasonable performance, 0.57V drop at 14V (alternator spinning, 36A draw) and 0.66V drop at 12V (battery, 42A draw). I'd look at a bigger or multiple relays on account of the 12V draw. I would not run 8 AWG as you'd lose a whole volt, affecting the performance of the halogen bulbs.

Still having issues with the engine temp, after replacing the thermostat twice now in the same amount of months I broke down and spent the $38 on the OEM MOPAR thermostat. All I have to say is is better fix the issue or I am going to set the ****er on fire so I can keep warm.
What fuse controls the reverse lights? Same goes for reverse lights? I need to get them working since I commute in nighttime hours
