The bolts won't tighten all the way and close the gap instead they are trying to pull out the metal pins that the bottom 2 bell housing bolts go into. Its like somethings stopping it from coming together. Should I take them apart again bolt the torque converter to the flywheel then try and line up the transmission again or is their something that's not lining up correctly?
No, something is not completely lined up/engaged. Double check to see if the converter is completely engaged on the front pump of the transmission. Push and turn back n fourth on the converter untill it fully seats on the front pump. Also check to make sure the center of the flexplate (its a flexplate, not flywheel on an automatic) is free of dirt n debris.

I have a squeaky sound that seems to come from the middle of my dashboard whenever I accelerate from stop. Only for like 3-5 seconds, and it sounds like a hamster is running on a wheel haha any ideas as to what it could be? What spins thats close to the dash?

Could be an exhaust, intake, or vacuum leak. For help on that, just google "whistling sound cherokee forum". There is a ton of info here.

Check all of your vacuum hoses for pinholes.

If it is throttle related, exhaust/intake manifolds are prob your culprit. For most, it seems to be loose bolts on exhaust or intake manifolds. It's a good place to start anyway. Mine sounded like a tea kettle.

The brake cleaner test works swell too.

Good luck

I'm gonna say blower motor... mine does the same thing. Bearing is probably bad in it.

Renix 4.0 1988. Do I need to worry about engine mount bolts or is that HO and newer?

I appreciate it Outlaw. We bolted the converter to the flexplate and the bellhousing bolts pulled them the rest of the way together. Now to just drop this sucker in!
